BIG BEAR: Democratic Club health care lecture set

Dr.BillHonigmanThe Democratic Club of Big Bear Valley will feature Bill Honigman, M.D., on issues related to health care beyond the Supreme Court’s decision on the constitutionality of the mandate in health care reform from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 10. Besides possible changes to the Affordable Care Act, he will also address single payer health care as a viable alternative.

Honigman has been a full-time practicing ER physician from Orange County for more than 30 years.

He has been active in the Orange County Democratic Club and is now the Orange County chapter leader and California state coordinator of the national grassroots organization Progressive Democrats of America.

Concurrently he serves as the coordinator for the newly established Campaign for a Healthy CA Orange County, a regional coalition networking with other regions with a mission to attain health care for all of California.

The group will meet at the Municipal Water District building at 40524 Lakeview Drive in Big Bear Lake.
